1. Select a topic covering during the course. A list of potential topics follows the instructions; however, you are not obligated to use any of the topics listed. Feel free to come up with your own combination of legal subjects discussed during the term.
2. Write a 6 to 8 page paper about the topic. The paper should consist of the following parts.

Introduction
Provide a little background about the topic selected and why it was selected. Include definitions as necessary.
Literature Review
A literature review identifies information that is already known about a research topic. Although you will not conduct an extensive research study in this class, a summary of scholarly information that has been written about your topic is an important part of a research paper Find a minimum of three scholarly articles related to your topic. Summarize the articles and how they are related to your topic. Legal journals are good sources of information. Do not use websites ending in .com for your sources in this section.
Relevant Law(s)
Research and explain at least one law related to the topic you selected. The information may require research of federal/state laws or administrative agency regulations. Compare the laws of two states, if applicable. Summarize the information about the laws or regulations you found related to your topic.
Case Discussion
Locate at least two cases related to the topic you selected. Explain how the case is related to your topic. If you selected a state-specific topic, be sure to use a case from that state. You may review more than two cases. Include the following information as you discuss the cases, but do so in paragraph form.
